Why We Do It

As Nigeria finds itself relying largely on imported protein sources such as fishmeal, resulting in production and consumer prices for foods such as fish and poultry increasing, there is an imminent need for a local, affordable and sustainable alternative.

This is where insects come in! Insects can be reared at low cost, with minimal inputs and high value creation leading to income generation, means that they offer a viable solution for the Nigerian context.

QIFFAN, founded in October 2017, aims to promote this use of insects by colluding all persons or organizations that believe in insects as an innovative protein source.
